Capacity Building

Sustainability Project:

HandsOn Central California, First 5 Merced and Central Valley Community Foundation-Merced are partnering to support agencies in developing and implementing plans to sustain high-quality impact and outcomes for their community over the long term – in good times and in bad. Leveraging a research-based Sustainability curriculum paired with targeted onsite coaching and support, organizations learn how to think strategically about how to build their internal capacity to pursue and secure resources that will address your organization’s long-term needs. Sustainability is not only about financial needs, but also essential political, technical and administrative resources required for the long-term. The series of monthly Sustainability workshops walks organizations through each step of the planning process with the ultimate goal of creating a comprehensive sustainability plan. This plan is then presented to funders and decision-makers who can potentially invest in that plan. We are currently identifying 8-10 Merced County organizations for this cohort. There is no cost to participate.
