HandsOn Central California Partners with Amy’s Hallmark and Starbucks
to Spread Valentine’s Day Cheer to Local Veterans
HandsOn Central California is thrilled to announce a heartwarming partnership with Amy’s Hallmark and participating Starbucks locations to bring joy to Central California Veterans this Valentine’s Day. This community-wide initiative invites residents to purchase or create handmade Valentine cards that will be distributed to local Veterans, spreading love and appreciation.
From now until February 10, 2025, everyone is encouraged to participate by dropping off their Valentine cards at participating Amy’s Hallmark and Starbucks locations, as well as the HandsOn Central California office. This marks the fourth year of the "Valentines for Veterans" initiative, which has grown significantly since its inception. Last year, over 6,000 cards were collected, and this year, with the expansion into seven Central California counties, the goal is to collect 7,000 cards.
HandsOn Central California’s AmeriCorps Senior volunteers will distribute the cards to local Veteran programs, living facilities, and the VA Hospital, ensuring that each card reaches a Veteran who will feel loved and appreciated. A simple card or handwritten Valentine can make a profound impact on a Veteran’s day, reminding them that their service and sacrifices are not forgotten.
