River Restoration Day

River Restoration Workday Join Sierra Resource Conservation District for a hands-on volunteer opportunity at their California Native Pollinator Garden along the San Joaquin River. Volunteers will work together to help maintain and restore native river habitat that supports California's pollinators. Depending on the day's needs, activities may include: You will help out with typical garden maintenance: - Removing weeds/invasive plants - Planting natives - Collective native seeds - Pruning - Watering - Mulching No prior experience is necessary, all skill levels are welcome. Volunteers should plan to be outdoors and doing light to moderate physical activity, so comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle are recommended. This is a great opportunity to get outside, learn about local habitat restoration, and make a tangible, lasting impact on the San Joaquin River ecosystem
