Drought Relief Volunteer
Have you heard about the effects of the drought? Or the increased need of food? Now is the time you can learn about the drought and make a difference in your community!
In response to the severe drought in Fresno County, meal boxes are prepared and brought to farm-working communities most affected by extremely dry conditions. Community Food Bank is hosting disaster relief distributions in Orange Cove, Mendota, San Joaquin, Huron and Firebaugh. Volunteers are essential to the state disaster relief efforts by providing assistance in handing food out. Volunteers assist Community Food Bank staff with client check-in, traffic control, bagging produce and handing out emergency food. This is a great opportunity for individuals, schools, churches, companies, and families to get involved in our local communities!
