Vote Center Volunteer
Vote Center volunteers will report to and receive assignments from the Vote Center Coordinator. Volunteers are welcome to work more than one day. Volunteers are required to work 4-hour shifts. There are 53 separate Vote Centers throughout Fresno County: Fresno, Clovis, Sanger, Coalinga, Firebaugh, Fowler, Huron, Kerman, Kingsburg, Mendota, Orange Cove, Parlier, Pinedale, Reedley, Riverdale, San Joaquin, Selma, Squaw Valley, and Tollhouse Duties may include: • Greet and direct voters as they enter the Vote Center and encourage social distancing • Wipe down and disinfect voting equipment (booths, pens, secrecy sleeves, etc.) • Receive voted mail ballots that are sealed in envelopes, check to be sure they are signed and drop them in the ballot box • Assist with translation of voting information Volunteers are expected: • Be interviewed by the volunteer coordinator • Agree to work specific hours and locations • Present themselves in professional manner at all times • Wear a mask at all times to prevent the spread of Covid-19 • Check-in upon arrival with your assigned supervisor • Wear a name badge while on duty • If a volunteer cannot work their scheduled time, they must immediately contact the coordinator in advance to allow for rescheduling or replacement *A questionnaire will be emailed prior to volunteering *Priority need for volunteers is for Election Day, November 3, 2020.
