Fundraiser Event Volunteer
West African Vocational Schools is looking for volunteers to help with their annual fundraiser the Dine and Discover West Africa banquet. The evening includes dinner, wine from Englemann Cellars and dance performances by African dance performers from Purposed II Praise. Musical performance by violinist Patrick Contreras. 100% of proceeds go toward equipping young women and men in Guinea-Bissau with life-changing job skills! They need your help to make this magical night happen. Night of event volunteers Location: Engelmann Cellars 3275 N. Rolinda Ave. Fresno, CA 93723 Date: Friday October 5, 2018 Hours:4:45 pm-9:45 pm pm # of volunteers needed: 20 Duties: There are various roles that need to be filled including check-in, buffet serving and food prep, wine pouring, parking & tear down etc. Note: Attire is semi-formal. Collared shirts and pants for men. No heels for women if you are volunteering since there could be a fair amount of walking involved. Cooking Team Day of Banquet- Friday October 5th Location: The Well- Fig Garden Campus 4545 N Palm Ave, Fresno, CA 93704 Hours: Shifts are 9 am- 12 pm or 12 pm to 5 pm # of volunteers needed: Cooking Team: 6-8 Duties: Cooking Team-Volunteers will be prepping food for the event- lots of cutting and dicing. Prep Night - Thursday October 4th Location: The Well- Fig Garden Campus 4545 N Palm Ave, Fresno, CA 93704 Hours: 6-8:30 pm # of volunteers needed: Cooking Team: 8 Duties: Cooking Team-Volunteers will be prepping food for the event- lots of cutting and dicing. Table & Chair Set up- Thursday October 4th Location:Engelmann Cellars 3275 N. Rolinda Ave. Fresno, CA 93723 Hours: 6-8:30 pm # of volunteers needed: 10 Duties: Volunteers will be setting up the tables, chairs and lighting for the event the night prior. Prep Night - Wednesday October 3rd Location:The Well- Fig Garden Campus 4545 N Palm Ave, Fresno, CA 93704 Date: Wednesday, October 4, 2017 Hours: 7:30-9:30 pm # of volunteers needed: Cooking Team: 8 Duties: Cooking Team- Volunteers will be prepping food for the event- lots of cutting and dicing. Craft Night - Tuesday October 2nd Location: WAVS office in the Bitwise Mural District Building 2210 San Joaquin Street Suite #100, Fresno, California 93721 Hours: 6:00-8:30 pm # of volunteers needed: Craft Team: 6 Duties: Craft Team- We will have some projects this night that we need help putting together for the event.
