211 Call Center Volunteer
United Way Fresno/Madera Counties needs assistance from volunteers to take 211 support calls. Volunteers will be trained and will work remotely. Training and confidentiality are vital to providing support in this position and it is expected that all volunteers read all material in the links below if they have questions.
This opportunity will not require you to leave the privacy of your home. With many people needing assistance and information during this crisis, this is a safe way to help without risking your health. You will need access to a computer, internet, and headset (wired or Bluetooth) or combination of microphone and speakers. Immediately after registration and verification, volunteers should attend the first available zoom meeting. These meetings will happen every weekday at 12:30 PST until April 1, 2020. This information will be at the end. 211 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages and from all communities to the essential health and human services they need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 211 can be accessed by phone or computer.
