Front Desk Receptionist

Responsibilities • Manage the agency’s lobby area • Provide professional telephone and walk-in reception • Provide excellent customer service • Maintain and anticipate needed supplies and ensures operation of equipment; calling for repairs • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, and filing • Maintain all client files, data base information • Act as support staff for the overall agency • Support staff in assigned project based work • Maintain, pull and create client files
Qualifications and Experience • Must have some basic knowledge of computer skills with Microsoft Office programs. • Some basic knowledge of customer service • Must be fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish is desired • Able to deal with a variety of clients professionally and cheerfully, even under pressure.

Front Desk Volunteers have access to ongoing staff support and resources throughout their volunteer term. Staff are available to problem-solve and share ideas around any challenges they may experience, as well as to make connections to program and services beyond HandsOn.

Time Commitment: A minimum of 1 shift per week. Can be Morning or Afternoon shift, or both.
2 Shifts Available:
Monday: 8AM-NOON; NOON-4PM Tuesday: 8AM-NOON; NOON-4PM
Wednesday: 8AM-NOON; NOON-4PM Thursday: 8AM-NOON; NOON-4PM
Friday: 8AM-NOON; NOON-3PM
