SparkPoint Front Desk Coordinator

Role:

This position supports the newly created SparkPoint Fresno Financial Resource Center in running the front desk by taking appointments and educating walk-ins and clients on the phone about SparkPoint services as well as completing general front desk duties.

 

Responsibilities Include:

·        Opening and closing center

·        Booking clients for appointments in an online appointment program for SparkPoint services as well as setting appointments for free VITA tax services

·        Educating potential clients on SparkPoint services

·        Making follow-up calls on client’s overall experience

·        During tax season (Feb-Apr): helping with clients for the VITA tax program and answering any questions regarding the program

·        Making sure service providers needs are taken care of

·        Inputting data from intake forms to an excel spreadsheet

·        Keeping a call log of every call that comes into the center

·        Keep track of VITA tax clients as well as EOC clients that come to the center. Experience in Microsoft Excel is needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

Candidate MUST be fluent in both Spanish and English.  Must have ability to absorb information quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel desired.  Excellent customer service skills needed. Must have ability to work with a diverse client population, especially those with financial troubles.

 

Time Commitment:

This is an opportunity to work short term or on an ongoing basis.  Preferred applicant can work at least 3 days a week part-time hours: Mon 9-1, Tues 1-5, Wed 3-5, Thurs 1-6, Fri 9-1

The volunteer’s role is critical in helping the Spanish speaking population get the financial services they may need.
