2-1-1 Resource & Statistics Reporter

 

Role:

The Resource and Statistic Reporter will directly increase the capacity and community outreach of 2-1-1 Fresno County.  2-1-1 Fresno County is an Information and Referral line that connects people to health, legal and human services in the county.  Our program is looking to expand its reach to the community and expand our volunteer capacity in the following months.  Furthermore, as we transition to a new database we are taking the opportunity to revitalize our information.  With the new information, we will be able to acquire new demographics about our services and callers.  The Resource and Statistics Reporter will be in a great position to understand and present data.

 

Responsibilities include:

The RSR will work with data to provide a clear picture of demographics and statistics of our callers and resources, and will be asked to:

  • Work with databases to produce
    • informative pivot tables
    • illustrative graphs and charts
    • designated presentations materials
  • Work with other RSR’s to
    • create a comprehensive presentation plan.
    • create presentation schemes and materials
    • develop written reports to our partner agencies

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Friendly and approachable attitude
  • Desire to be creative
  • 1-2 semesters of training in statistics
  • Exposure to databases, graphs, modes, median, averages, pivot tables.
  • Advanced writing skills. 
    • Ability to relate clear logic.
    • Ability to integrate statistics as support for claims.
  • Willingness to work with others to meet deadlines
  • Interest in research
  • Must be at least 18 yrs of age or older.

 

Time Commitment:

The RSR will commit to 30 hrs of work in 6 months.  The bulk (15) of these hours will happen in the first month, breaking down to 6 hrs of training and 9 of work.  The RSR will continue to work 3 monthly hours during the rest of the commitment.
