A Birthday Party for the Homeless
Each year we celebrate our guests birthdays on the same day in an outdoor party setting. Volunteers from a large sponsoring church provide the majority of the help as they decorate, serve food and host the guest tables during this event. By opening up the event online, we are inviting a few individuals to come alongside this church and help us.
OUR GREATEST NEED for sign-ups from May 1-June 20: New ministry piece for Samaritan's Feet where we will need Christ-centered volunteers to wash feet, pray with, listen to our guests and help to fit them with shoes and socks provided by this ministry (See Attached Flier). Please e-mail me (Donna: dscully@fresnorescuemission.org) to let me know that this interests you and I will add your name to the ministry list for this venue.
The party begins at 10:00 am with live music, the addition of the Samaritan's Feet ministry element and ongoing conversation with our guests. We serve a BBQ lunch around 11:15-12:15 PM... followed by birthday cake and presents! This is one of our favorite events. Come join us!
