In an effort to increase the capacity of our organization and
provide resources and sustainability for volunteerism in our
community HandsOn Central California has designed a fun and unique
fundraising event, “Monopoly Mania”.
Behind the ideas and efforts toward building a better world,
volunteers fuel a movement of compassion and connection.
Each year in October
this
movement engages our community and our nation in service on
National Make A Difference Day.
Everyday hundreds of nonprofits work tirelessly to serve the
people of the community but each year on the Saturday before
Thanksgiving the community has the opportunity to give back to
those organizations by volunteering to help with a one day
service project.
HandsOn Central California and a committee of community partners join forces to bring HOPE to
homeless families during the holiday season.
Hope for the Holidays
is an annual holiday celebration for homeless children and their
families in our community.
The King Day of Service is a way to transform Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr.’s life and teachings into community service that helps
solve social problems. HandsOn Central California in partnership
with local community organizations has created an annual service
project revolved around elevating hunger in our community.
Every year HandsOn Central California puts on an event honoring the
life and work of Cesar Chavez.
HandsOn Central California designed
Generation Green as a signature project to empower young people to
identify and address community needs through service as well as to
mobilize them in an effort to preserve the environment.
National Volunteer week presents an opportunity for individuals,
families, nonprofit organizations and government entities alike to
celebrate the ordinary people who accomplish extraordinary things
through service. Each year
HandsOn Central California
hosts the annual
Volunteer of the Year Awards Luncheon in recognition and celebration
of our community’s volunteers.
Summer of Service is a summer long youth service learning program.
Youth will participate in a variety of community service activities
in an effort to learn more about the issues facing their community.
Service activities are held once a week between July and August.
